Tynisa J. Martin is an innovator in the realm of education. She is a Special Education Teacher as well as a Teacher Leader who mentors and coaches aspiring Teachers and those new in their teaching roles. Tynisa holds a M.S. ED- from Long Island University, Brooklyn, a M.A. & B.A. from St. John’s University. Tynisa has worked in various capacities to ensure Equity and Access is ensured to both students and families across New York City Public Schools. Ms. Martin believes in cultivating positive relationships with both her students and their communities. You will often find Ms. Martin incorporating her love of music and positive energy into her classroom and daily lessons. She is known as “Sunshine” to her VA family and aims to spread Joy and a Love for Learning upon anyone she comes into contact with in and outside of the classroom.
