Christopher Schuerlein

Math Teacher

Christopher Schuerlein  is a 13th year mathematics teacher from Long Island, NY (9th year at Village Academy). Mr. Schuerlein earned a Bachelor's degree while double majoring in Mathematics and Secondary Education at Hofstra University, a Masters degree in Educating Students with Disabilities from Queens College and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Mercy College. He joined Village Academy as a Math teacher in the 2012-2013 school year. Before that, Mr. Schuerlein was a teacher at Island Trees Middle/High School in Levittown, NY. He has also worked as a  wrestling and football coach since 2008. His main goal as an educator is to help his students reach their greatest potential of success, which he sees as limitless.  In his free time, Mr. Schuerlein enjoys spending time with his daughter as well as his niece and 3 nephews.  Mr. Schuerlein also enjoys going to the beach, fishing and watching as many movies as possible!! (Especially Star Wars and Marvel)
